Week 9

The Final Sprint. This is the week that has seen the climax of our hard work. The project writing phase is over and its implementation is underway. The students´ excitement and engagement is transcendent. This is what I call autonomy and authenticity in action. This week´s workload was light but prolifically productive as we have seen how the multiple intelligences and the learning styles theories were not synonyms but inherent characteristics of the learners for which technology can play a fundamental role as it is a bit challenging for the teacher to cater to all the LSs without the help of technology. Another milestone is the final stage of the project writing. Reading and peer- editing my course mate´s draft was an enriching experience from which I realized that there were many things which we take for granted but which can only be seen through the eyes of another reader. Such a reader is able to pinpoint the flaws and suggest constructive moves to improve the project. I was so lucky to have had a very serious honest peer-editor to whom I am so deeply indebted for having devoted whole-heartedly her precious time to scrutinize the tiniest details of the draft.  Although I am trying to concentrate on this week’s reflection many thoughts about next week keep haunting my mind and I am afraid that I let loose all my thoughts I won’t have anything to say about next week in due time. So, I’d rather put an end to this week’s reflection right now.

  1. dear Kraim,
a couldn't agree more with your idea on peer reviewing because many tiny , fine details could be seen and pointed through the eyes of another reader. As I know Alex, this must be wonderful and unique experience.
My students are almost at the end of my project and , soon, it will be posted on my project padlet and be available for your students comments. This will, hopefully encourage and inspire our students to think, share and act internationally.
by this time, next WEEK, will be millionaires (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxLrsn9ZsiQ) as Del said in famous series "Only fool and horses". Our millionaire sum, of course will be reflected in our unique knowledge and friendship we're taken from this course.
    greetings from Serbia

We have so amazingly increased our deposits of skills and knowlege by particiapting in this elaborately designed course with this wonderful bunch of people from around the four corners of the world.
Let's nurture this deposit in the near future!

  2. Dear Karim,

You should have become a writer, a famous author! You are very straight-forward, so clear and succint, something I can't manage.
For me it was also a very rewarding experience to have my draft peer-reviewed and doing the same for a colleague. Zeljko was fantastic by highlighting what he believed was surplus and what he thought was good, all so obvious for me :) Hope the result matches the expectations.
Looking forward already to what you have to say next week. In the meantime, have a great week!
Best greetings from across the Mediterranean,
    Alex

  3. Dear Karim
Although I am not your partner, I read your final report draft and the drafts of your group members. I was surprised at how sincerely you participated in this course and the report.Actually I spent the hardest time, but this week was the most meaningful time at the same time. As yout said. this week is the climax of our course like the flower blossom. I think we share the same great memory.

    1. Dear Soo,

I am inviting you and your students to participate in this project. I told my students about the possibility of having a partnership with a Korean school and other countries to join us and they simply loved the idea. So, please, come aboard. You are most welcome.
